Kalmár Apartments is located on the south east slope of the Gellért Hill -which is in the most exclusive and safest district of Budapest- next to the world famous Gellért Baths and the Hotel Gellért. Both the historical and business centres of the city are within 10 minutes by public transport.

The building is more than a hundred years old and it is surrounded by a quiet and well kept garden. You can still see the remnants of the staircase specially built for the visit of the Emperor Franz Joseph at the beginning of 1900's.

Each room has different facilities and furniture. The rooms are spacious and bright with a high ceiling and large windows. There is beautiful antique furniture in the rooms, however they are equipped with all modern conveniences including air conditioning, TV, HI-FI stereo, telephone, minibar and bathroom. In all rooms you will find a safe that is at your disposal free of charge! Please ask for the key from the staff! Please note that you will be asked to provide some (refundable) deposit for the key of the safe!

The President Suite is situated on the top floor of the Pension. It has a kitchen with dining room,
2 seperated double rooms (with king size beds), a bathroom with hydro-massage shower
and a small terrace so it is comfortable for max 4 people (2 couples).

You can have a glimpse of the Danube and the Franz Joseph bridge while sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the gentle breeze on the terrace of the apartments.
The excellent location and the beauty of the apartments, the friendly staff (and the quality and quantity of the breakfast) made this hotel well known abroad.

Cancellation Policy:

Bookings for 1-6 days: Reservations may be cancelled up to 4 days prior to arrival, otherwise 1 night of accommodation is to be charged by the hotel.

Bookings for 7-21 days: Reservations may be cancelled 10 days prior to arrival, otherwise 2 nights of accommodation are to be charged by the hotel.

Bookings longer than 21 days: Reservations may be cancelled 15 days prior to arrival, otherwise 7 nights of accommodation are to be charged by the hotel.

How to get to the Hotel:

IF YOU ARRIVE BY PLANE OR TRAIN:
You can order a taxi with the help of our Hotel Transfer form. This large airconditioned private taxi takes you straight to the hotel at a fix price. You can also use the Minibus Service at the airport or at the train station. It is a little cheaper but you have to wait for a while to get the right bus and it might go to other hotels before yours.
